Free BMD is an ongoing project, the aim of which is to transcribe the Civil Registration index of births, marriages and deaths for England and Wales, and to provide free Internet access to the transcribed records

This site provides a free to view online searchable database of the 19th century UK census returns.

Free REG

This site provides a free to view online searchable database of Parish Registers

My Heritage

I use the Family Tree Builder program from My Heritage, it creates a nice book report.

Ancestry

The main site I use for looking up Family History, and the creators of Family Tree Maker which I use.

Find My Past

Another resource site I use for research, I use it to find Rockey’s which I then look up on other sites.

Direct Gov UK

This page explains the GRO index reference number which I have listed on the Rockey Genes Late BMD page quoting the certificate index reference reduces the time it takes for Gov staff to find the record allowing you to receive your certificate sooner

GenUKI contains a large collection of genealogical information pages for
England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man.

The definitive guide to the genealogical history of the Royal Families of Europe, the aristocratic and the historical families of the British Isles, they have a nice guide to tracing your history here.
